In my exhibition & reading I am going to tell about my way to „find peace with my past“. This is to encourage people who suffered from sexual abuse in their childhood to encounter different solutions for living in the here and in the now. Even if the pain won’t go away completely I believe it is important to put importance on all the things we have already achieved in our lives and also on the positive encounters with people around us. With my healing fairy tale that is part of my autobiographic healing novel I want to honor the pain of the past. Also I show how my protagonist, the deer Anuschka is able to let go of unhealthy (family) relationships. This “letting go” was and still is the key to my yet self-determined and thereby more fulfilled life. I hope that with this reading and exhibition I can reach people who are at the turning point in their lives and who are open to new solutions.
